Frequently asked gardening related questions

Can I reuse the same soil for calla lilies next year?

It is not recommended to reuse soil for calla lilies year after year without replenishing it. Used compost can lose nutrients and may harbour pests or fungal spores. If you choose to reuse it, mix in fresh multi-purpose compost, perlite, and organic matter to refresh its structure and fertility. Adding a slow-release fertiliser can also help. For best results, replace the compost entirely every 1-2 years.
