Frequently asked gardening related questions
Yes, well-rotted animal manure is an excellent organic fertiliser and soil improver. It adds nutrients, boosts organic matter, and improves soil structure. Always ensure it is well-composted or "aged" (at least 6 months old) before applying to prevent burning plants with fresh manure, and to reduce weed seeds and pathogens. Source manure from animals not treated with persistent herbicides. Common types include cow, horse, chicken, and sheep manure.
