Cotswolds Garden - FAQs
Frequently asked gardening related questions
UK lawns benefit from being kept at a height of around 2.5 to 4 cm (1 to 1.5 inches). During dry or hot weather, raise the mowing height to help the grass retain moisture and prevent scorching. Never cut off more than one-third of the grass height in a single mow, as this can stress the lawn and lead to patchy growth. Keeping your lawn a bit longer also helps crowd out weeds and protects the soil from direct sunlight.
