When is the best time to mow the lawn in the UK?

In the UK, lawns grow most actively during spring (March-May) and autumn (September-October). During these periods, you should mow once a week, or more frequently if the grass is growing quickly. During summer, mowing every 7-10 days is often enough, and in winter you may not need to mow at all unless growth continues in milder southern regions. Try to mow when the grass is dry, ideally in the late morning or early evening, and always use a sharp mower blade to prevent tearing the grass.
