Cotswolds Garden - FAQs
Frequently asked gardening related questions
Most herbs require full sun - meaning at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day. Herbs such as basil, rosemary, thyme, and oregano flourish in sunny spots. However, some herbs like mint, parsley, lemon balm, and chervil tolerate partial shade and can grow well in areas that get morning sun and afternoon shade. If growing indoors, place herbs on a south-facing window or use grow lights to ensure they receive enough light. Lack of light can lead to leggy, weak growth and reduced flavour.
