Cotswolds Garden - FAQs

Frequently asked gardening related questions

Do potted fruit trees need feeding?

Yes, because nutrients are washed out of containers more quickly than in the ground. Feed your fruit trees with a balanced slow-release fertiliser in early spring. From late spring to summer, switch to a high-potash liquid feed (like tomato feed) every 2-4 weeks to support flowering and fruit development. Avoid high-nitrogen feeds, which can encourage excessive leaf growth.
