Cotswolds Garden - FAQs
Frequently asked gardening related questions
Magnolias are not heavy feeders. For established trees in the ground, a single application of a balanced, slow-release granular fertiliser in early spring is usually sufficient. For magnolias in pots, feed every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring to late summer) with a liquid feed formulated for acid-loving plants. Avoid over-fertilising, which can lead to excessive leafy growth at the expense of flowers.
