Potted tender plants should be moved to a sheltered location, indoors (a conservatory, porch, or unheated garage), or grouped together against a warm wall. Ensure the soil is moist (but not waterlogged) before a frost, as moist soil retains heat better than dry soil. For very sensitive plants, wrapping pots in bubble wrap can provide additional root protection.
