Permaculture adopts the principle of "Produce No Waste." This means viewing waste as a misplaced resource. Organic waste is composted or used in vermicomposting to build soil. Greywater and blackwater are treated and reused. Materials that would typically be discarded are repurposed or recycled within the system. The aim is to create closed-loop systems where outputs from one element become inputs for another, reducing external inputs and outputs to a minimum.
